Broad Run Bands Use Kickstarter to Raise Funds

Help the Marching Spartans continue to compete in regional, national events.

The Broad Run High School Band Boosters Association has set up a Kickstarter page to raise money for the bands to compete this year.

For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it helps groups or individuals raise money for a specific project by having supporters pledge money toward the cause. Once enough money is pledged, the projects move forward.

[Editor’s note: A friend of the editor in Richmond recently funded a music project via Kickstarter.]

Those pledging at least $10 get a ringtone performed by the Marching Spartans, while those pledging $25 also get an “I Support the Marching Arts” T-shirt. Sponsorship packages rise up to the $500 corporate level; however, donations of all levels are welcome.
