An Ashburn man has been charged in North Carolina a car crash that killed a couple, according to a report from the Virginian-Pilot.
Troy Bowman, 50, told the North Carolina State Highway Patrol he had fallen asleep behind the wheel. He has been charged with reckless driving and two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, the newspaper reported.
The incident took place Monday, when a husband and wife vacationing from Pennsylvania were struck by the car Bowman was driving as they walked on a path next to the road, police reported.
